In Virteom you can simply set each page to be a certain rank of importance.  Virteom will directly communicate with Google and tell Google and other search engines how important this page is to you and how often those search engines should come back and view those pages. This takes the guessing work out of the search engine and helps you drive a direct campaign with the search engines.  Below are the instructions on managing your page rankings on a Virteom powered website. Opening the page options tab Upon logging in, click Editor in the Virteom Toolbar Find the tab on the left-hand side of the screen to expand the page options tab.   Search Engine Page Ranking Click Search Engine Page Ranking to open this section. Adjust the page rank. Here are some guidelines on how to properly assign page rankings in our system. Page ranking ranges from 1.0 (highest importance) to 0.1 (least importance). You want only about 4-5 pages to rank at a 1.0. These pages should be the core aspects of your business and should include the home page as well. Most of your pages will rank from a 0.9-0.5. The Virteom website report card will scan all pages ranked from 1.0 to .05 for content length, alt tags, meta tags, and broken hyperlinks. This means you can assign incomplete pages, drafts, and hidden pages at a .01 so that they don't negatively skew your report card! The frequency setting tells search engines how often they should come back and refresh their co

Find the 'Paste from Word' button When you copy from a text editor, a lot of times it will carry hidden, embedded styles along with it. Not only will the styles differ from normal text on your website, but they will break any web-based text editor. To work around this, we have a special button to paste from Word. Using this method is the safest way to bring text from any text editing software into your product description. First, click on the clipboard icon in the Navigation Bar   Add your text in the box below Paste your content here. Click OK to continue.   And you are done! These same steps can be re-used anywhere you see the editor's toolbar, such as  editing content pages as well as blog

The red outlined word below is the blog index you will be publishing to. Normally this is named "Blog" or "News." Some users will have multiple blog indexes, this is how you will know which one you are working within.   Add content to your new page This process, as for any page, can take some time. Until you publish this page (in the following steps), users will not see this content. So feel free to write a draft! As always, remember to click 'save page' when you're ready to save your content.   Find and Save Blog Post Settings NAVIGATE TO the PAGE SETTINGS AREA While in 'edit' mode, click on the tab at the top of the page for Page Settings.   Open the Blog tab Click 'Blog' to open the Blog tab   Publish the new Blog Entry Fill in the blog settings form The menu that appears will show whether your blog entry has yet been published and when it was (or is scheduled to be) published. It also consists of a form which sets your preferences for this blog entry, including Which blog to publish it to (if you have multiple) Name to appear as author of the entry tags (categories) to associate

Using Version Control

Virteom makes rolling back changes to your website incredibly easy. In the editor, simply use the sliding bar on the bottom of your screen. You will see the number of available versions that you can roll back, and can use the sliding bar to navigate through them. Virteom will store up to 50 versions of each page, creating a safety net in case you wish to change your design, or make accidental changes. The highest number is the most recent record. For example, you have five versions on a particular page. Let's say you want to reformat your page from version three, and try to branch out from the old layout. Simply navigate to this version, and begin making your changes. Once you hit save, it will be saved as record six. Q:  Where do my other versions go if I do this? Won't I lose versions four and five? A:  Do not worry. Your fourth and fifth versions are still saved and remain unchanged in case you wish to return to them at a later date. Q:  Can I ever accidentally delete my page's version, or lose my progress? A:  Keep in mind that while using the editor it is wise to save often. Also keep in mind Virteom can only hold 50 versions of each page. If you save every minute, after one hour you will have lost the first ten versions. Saving every ten minutes or so seems to work for most users, as pages typically don't get modified extensively in short time
